HOW TO MAKE ONE THAWED TOFURKY ROAST: (Thaw in refrigerator for 24 hours)

Roast preparation instructions:
With a knife or scissors, carefully remove plastic casing and clips from the Roast. Place on a pan in aluminum foil, or in a lidded casserole dish. Surround the roast with vegetables, if you wish. Pour half of the baste of your choice, over the roast. Wrap or cover tightly. Cook in preheated oven at 175 degrees C for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Uncover and pour remaining baste over roast. Return to oven and cook uncovered for 10 more minutes.

If you forgot to thaw the Roast, follow same instructions but cook for 2 hours and 20 minutes plus 15 minutes uncovered.

Gravy preparation instructions:
Blend contents of the sachet with 240ml water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat and simmer 1 minute or until thickened.

Two great options for baste:
Whisk these ingredients together to baste before roasting. 3 T. Olive Oil (or other vegetable oil), 1 T. Soy Sauce, 1 1/2 t. fresh or ground sage (optional). Tofurky also gets along great with things like vegan stocks & bouillon, minced garlic, a dash of red wine or herbs like thyme or marjoram.

After opening seal in airtight container, refrigerate and use within 3 days

The best way to carve your Roast is with a serrated bread knife, shaving off a little over 6mm thick pieces. 


Roast: Water, wheat gluten, organic tofu (12%) (water, organic soybeans, [firming agents: magnesium chloride, calcium chloride]), shoyu soy sauce (water, non-GM soybeanswheat, salt, culture), non-GM rapeseed oil, natural flavourings, non-GM corn starch, chickpea bean flour, haricot bean flour, lemon juice concentrate, onion, carrot, celery, vegan sugar, calcium lactate from beets, sea salt.

Stuffing: Organic brown rice, whole wheat bread cubes (enriched wheat flour [wheat, folic acid, riboflavin, niacin, and thiamine], water, organic sugar, sea salt, yeast), onion, celery, water, organic wild rice, non-GM rapeseed oil, natural flaverings, garlic, salt, vegan sugar, spices.

Herby Gravy: organic brown rice flour, organic tapioca starch, organic tamari powder (organic soybeans, organic rice flour, organic rice maltodextrin, salt, soya lecithin), salt, organic onion powder, nutritional yeast (yeast, niacin (vit B-3), pyridoxine hydrochloride (vit B-6), riboflavin (vit B-2), thiamine hydrochloride (vit B-1), folic acid, cyanocobalamin (vit B-12), organic garlic powder, organic thyme, organic parsley flakes, organic rosemary.
